I was thinking that someone should redo the Shaggs albums, try to figure out what the heck they meant to play and try to reconstruct it like an anthropologist with modeling clay and a couple of skull fragments. It seems someone had a similar idea already, but until I get and hear that album I won't know how the individual artists approached it. Did they try to do a true cover and keep the original's staggering chaos, or did they try to crack it open and tease out the pale, tender idea that the Wiggins sisters originally had—and then obscured by playing?
